That's a better explanation for the OP.

It's the piping and cutting that make it a pita for a 'bolt on'. If your kit is truly that simple then sweet.

But I've yet to see a Turbo kit that can be put on and pulled off as a simple bolt on.

this OP is looking for a simple power add to his car for a Dayle driver, a supercharger is perfect in that aspect,a lot less to go wrong, like blown off piping from boost, oil leaks, vacuum pressure drops on the wastgates..so forth... so OP u got the right idea about supercharging your car.

I'm not looking for the old argument between the two. Just clarification to answer the OPs question.

If it were up to me (ie..... I could afford it) I'd do a TT LSX with all the trimmings. But that isn't what the OP asked.

OP...bottom line is the guys running turbos will say get the turbo. Guys running the PD blower will say that's the best as will the centri blower guys.

Do your research and make your own decision based on what you want and your future goals with the car. Plain and simple!

I wanted turbos but was too expensive. I did mine two years ago. Not sure how it is now but at the time the turbos were NOT easy for a DIYer in the garage at home.

Reason I did a PD blower was affordability and ability to do it myself.

Our single kit is a true bolt on kit. Even our twin Turbo setup we dont cut anything either.

Wow, I didn't expect this many responses and debates while I was away. A lot of great info and arguements and I appreciate them all. I MAY be leaning more towards the turbo route seeing as they are a bit more fuel efficient using "wasted" energy from the engine to make more power. I'm still not sure though, The magnuson SC sounds really appealing also. So many to choose from i can't decide :/.

Chris-HPS how much do you guys run for a turbo kit? Or maybe even the Twin Turbo kit?

I am looking into the same in the future. I personally am going the SC route because I already have headers. I would say either go with the whipple (my choice) or magnacharger.

Yep...but it might run 12s too....just at 175mph. The car hasn't been down the track once yet....so it's still a giant mystery and this stuff isn't as easy as it looks.

Besides...he doesn't count...his car is more like a rocket than a car.
