Although I had been anxiously awaiting the Camaros since 2006, I really didn't want to order one til I saw it in person. Caseys chevrolet in Newport News had the first one I saw. Yellow, 2SS, fully loaded, and $10,000 over sticker! I got the same story about supply and demand and "if you want something does the price really matter?" I was so entranced by the car I almost did it too! But we did some looking around and after stalking a salesperson At Hampton Chevy it finally paid off! I almost literally waited for the hauler to pull in and then zoomed over to the lot to stake my claim! Got a loaded 2SS IOM! The high hasn't worn off yet! AND we paid MSRP! Not all the dealers are trying to be crooks!

I was looking to get my Cyber Grey 1SS and the salesman was no help but also telling me that the SS will range between 38.5 and 42.5. Are people actually paying that high of a price for the car? They are gorgeous and all but not worth anything near that.

a fully loaded 2SS "will" cost you right around 38K That would be @ MSRP.. no "market adjustment"
A 1SS will run you right at 32K starting out.

Mine is 38K and that is with out the ground effects. but with everything else..
It's a good price looking at what you are getting..
in 2002 a fully loaded SS was between 32K, and 34K

Just ordered my 2LT a few weeks back and I know I got raped. Issue for me is unless I buy from the states and get it sent to Hawaii I got screwed at all the dealers. I found one willing to stick at 33k out the door taxes and all included. I just feel I could have gotten a much better deal in the states than here but my options were limited.
