Will a new Corvette shift knob fit on a Camaro ?

That's a good idea actually, now I'm actually taking that in to consideration instead of the Hurst shifter

I'm sure there will be no shortage of shift knobs. I hate the stock one too.

The shift knob is laced into a leather cover on the 2SS/RS so you would have to replace the whole thing. May I suggest the Hurst? =)

The Corvette and the Camaro share a Tremec 6 speed transmission, so there's no reason you wouldn't be able to make the change...

But as stated above, go with the Hurst! Have you ever driven a car with a short throw hurst? It's awesome.

It may fit but... be made aware that the shift pattern on the C6 knob is NOT on the top of the knob. It is tilted off to the side to fit directly in the palm of your and from the driver seat. It feels very nice. I have the HURST short throw in the Corvette and it maintains the factory knob.

What does the HURST option look like in the Camaro? Does it untilize the factory knob/boot like in the Corvette or is it a new knob/bar without a leather boot like in the Mustang?

I think it utilizes the stock knob/boot.

If thats the case, then someone could have the HURST and the Corvette knob if they wanted to. May have to do some modifications to the boot. Hope they are good with stitching!

Hurst shifter can utilize the factory knob or you can also purchase a hurst retro style knob shiny black eight ball looking knob. There are pics somewhere on here. Whenever available I am definately doing hurst shifter and hurst knob, its still looking Q3 I think if i remember correctly.
