I would agree with the mud flaps/rock guard in both the front and back. I had my Camaro about 2 weeks before I put rock guards on front and back, and it makes a huge difference to the amount of dirt and grime down the side of your car.
Using long lasting products seems to be the best way to go for a daily driver, especially if it is parked outside. Pretty much any sealant had decent durability, and for a wax the number one recommendation always seems to be Collinite 845 when looking for durability.
