Thumbs up The BEST upgrade for your new Camaro - Camaro Six Shooter shifter

MTI Racing's new Camaro Six Shooter shifter is here. This should be the first upgrade you do to your 6 speed. Our test driver refers to it as being 1,000 percent better than stock, giving you a solid shifter without adding stiffness. This has been MTI Racing's number one mission when designing shifters. A shifter that requires little to no extra effort when shifting, but instills confidence with its solid structural feel. Mission accomplished.

The shifters stick is made of high quality stainless steel with a roller bearing at the base shift rod link. All the stock rubber bushings are replaced with durable delrin composite bushings. Increasing the overall strength and life of the shifter assembly. Made in the USA.

The MTI Racing Six Shooter shifter kit is not an entire shifter housing replacement. The kit includes the hardware to convert the shifter. Installation of the shifter requires the transmission to be lowered slightly to remove and install the shifter assembly. The new shifter is designed to use the stock shift knob or an aftermarket knob. The MTI Racing Six Shooter shifter will be available for the V6 and V8 model Camaros. There is no comparision to the Hurst shifter available yet. Hurst is still a few months away from being released. We are accepting pre orders. Call MTI
Racing at (770) 919-7774 or visit MTI Racing.com

The throw reduction is around 25%. The kit replaces the stock internal hardware with higher quality components, while retaining the factory housing.

Do you just get the stainless shift lever and delrin bushings, or is that the base that come with it too?

Can you post some pics of it installed in a Camaro? Maybe even some pics of the install as well.

I heard someone say already that the shifter can be replaced from inside the car through the console
