Another Auto-X victory for Torq + Pfadt at the Camaro Performers Duel in the Desert!
Pfadt wanted to congratulate Erik@Torq for winning the 5th Gen Autocross competition at this past weekend's Duel in the Desert at Firebird Raceway!
It was a fantastic event. Erik drove all the way from Florida for this event, and it really showed his dedication to the Camaro5 community! The event consisted of a "Baddest 5th Gen Award", which was comprised of a points system scored for a Cruise, Drag Race, Autocross, and Car Show. Erik placed 2nd overall (even without the Cruise points!) and our Pfadt entry took 3rd overall! Next time we need more HP for the drag race! Anyway, a big thanks to the Camaro Performers crew, the Camaro5 crew, Firebird International Raceway, tribune, Erik@Torq, and everyone else involved for a great event. Pfadt could not be any more pleased! For those of you who do not know the specifics of the event, check out tribone's thread here: [PICTURES!!!!] http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112331 and the original thread of his here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100947 (Thanks in advance for the pics, tribone!) |

yeah, I cant disagree with you Gary. That is quite the drive!
And no disrespect meant towards all the other participants! Erik is clearly a fantastic driver and has been on a tear lately proving he knows chassis and suspension set up! |

Thanks guys, it was an amazing event and I'm real happy with the results! It was great hanging out with all the West Coast guys and I can't wait to go back or the C5 Fest in April!
I always enjoy a good road trip, and I have to say that I could not be more pleased with how the Camaro performed both on the road and on the track, it's hard to find a more versatile set-up then the one we have built together with Pfadt parts! We averaged 24.2mpg @ 77.4mph over 4800 miles which is amazing for a cammed, near 500whp Camaro, and thanks to the adjustability of the Pfadt Coil Overs she drove like a Caddy on the way there. Once we got there I stiffened her up, set the Camber plates and hit the track and she performed just as good there. Thanks for a great event, Camaro Performers Magazine and Guillermo did an amazing job! |
