Sway Bars

Anyone install sway bars themselves? If so, how difficult was it? If not, anyone now a good shop in Austin that could do the install?

Thanks,
Dave

I did my rear sway bar myself. with help from my son working one side with me working the other. It was very very easy. about 5 minutes tops once we got started removing the bolts old bar and installing the new one. one person could do it, but it would take much longer obviously and be just a little more difficult. still managable, go for it!

The front sway bar takes a little work getting it out and new one back in (you have to hold your mouth just right), but once you figure it out, it comes right out.. The rear was a breeze !!

Don't forget to keep one eye closed and your tongue out the left corner!

Seriously, it's not bad... IF you get bound up and just can't get it out, put a floor jack under the oil pan with a piece of wood to protect the pan, loosen the two front motor mount bolts (do not remove) and jack the engine up a couple inches. It will come right out then.

I've installed probably 10 sets and only had to do that once, on the only 2011 I did.

Good luck!

What make of sway bars did you install? How did it go? I did many sets on the 4th gens I used to have but this 5th gen looks kinda tricky in the front.
