did I get a good deal?
hey guys, so i recently joined the forum last week as I bought myself a used camaro, so I thought id share what i paid for it and see what you guys thought, so i got a yellow with black stripes 2012 2SS with RS package, loaded, every option with 6,700 miles on it for 29k... 31k out the door with taxes and such. what do you guys think? kbb booked it for 33-35k. Some old man had it before I bought it and barely touched it, pretty much new condition, no dents or scratches. so good deal or no? thanks!

I'll predict here's how the thread is gonna go: 85% of the responders are gonna tell you you got a good/decent deal or "that's about what I paid for the same thing." The rest will say "dude, I only paid ," or "you could have got a brand new (less optioned) for that!"
At the end of the day you paid well under book value and seem happy with your purchase. I think that last part means you got a good deal. Either way post some pics, let us see what you got! And welcome. P.S. I think you got a good deal assuming the car isn't in need of any big repairs. Edit: Just saw your other thread with pics, nice car! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

seems a little on the high side but also sounds like you got a really nice one. if it's what you wanted, I'd say it's worth to pay a little extra for a nice one. Congrats!

That's pretty much right on NADA. Low mile car is always the way to go.

P.S. It's cracking me up to think if I sold my car to a young 20 something year old person, that they would tell their friends that some old man had it.

If you're happy and the seller is happy, nothing else matters.

It's a good deal if you got what you wanted, for what you wanted to pay.

The only down side I could see is the warranty issue, not having much, if any, of the initial 3 yr/36k mile warranty. It sounds like a decent deal, and if you are happy, then that is all that matters..
