2015 1le stock vs 2015 dodge challenger RT with 392 scat pack ?
So in a drag race or low mph roll race who would win and by about how much? Both cars stock and m6 transmission s and same level of drivers..
I was reading online the 2015 challenger RT will offer a package that upgrades brakes and appearance and also you get the 392 motor all for about 39,500.. seems really affordable. .

Well considering the SRT8 with the same motor is faster then the SS/SS-1LE I'd have to go challenger

Would have to give it to the challenger especially since the 392 is jumping to 485hp.

Challenger still. Mopar's aftermarket sucks but stock, they run hard.

All I saw so far is them offering 6sp manual and 8spd auto.. the manual gets the gas guzzler tax and the auto doesn't because its supposed be a 8% increase in mpg .. hows the quality of the challengers? Like interior and so on..

No still the 6spd gets a 8spd auto though.
If my heavier charger can pull one by 4-5 cars each time. Plus the power bump for the challenger you gonna need longtubes and a tune to make it worth while against one.

The 392 R/T will win in the straight. Dodge even changed some components from steel to aluminum to keep the weight the same as the 14's so is a sub 4000# car (Barely). This thing needs an aluminum block bad.
It is also 200#'s lighter than the SRT with more horsepower than the 14's. Figure very low 12's stock with the auto. Manual, hard to say. The Hemi has the stupidest fuel/air/spark cutoff system on the planet. It slams the throttle body shut when the computer senses when the clutch is depress' and retards everything even if you are doing WOT shifts. It's a pain with FI as well since it bleeds boost between shifts. |

Do you think it will be like this for the 15 models as well?

Supposedly, 4.6 to 60 and low to mid 12s by the 1/4.

Camaro 1LE would run circles around any Challenger on a road course. It's a much better track car.
In a straight line? 392 all day long. My new 8 speed 392 runs 12.2 stock. Pulls hard. The 1LE is a great car all around though.
