2010 stick ls vs....

I have had a few sports cars which none of were stock. My first impression after driving a few v6 Camaros was that it had to be stick. The auto was ok but the salesman was cool and let me launch it a few times an I was sold. It's a daily driver so I'm not planning on doing any real upgrades as it is plenty quick. The one I purchased has the heritage steel wheels so it is very basic. How ever I had the chance to get into it the other day from 0-90 and was very impressed. My butt dyno says 14.0 maybe 13.8-13.9. My friend has a 9 second Lemans as well as c5 vette and he was impressed. After driving he even said that I feels like 13.9 to him. Has anybody taken a 1ls into the high 13's stock?

Fastest stock times are low 14s, I managed a 14.1 corrected myself. But that was with the stickier pirellis that came with the RS package. The LS Goodrichs are really less than ideal for drag racing.

I've always thought a 13.9 would be possible bone stock but it would have to be in a 1LT with no options and you would need either the 19s or 20s with the pirellis. You would also need to cut a 1.9 60' which has been done with those tires. I pulled a 2.0 with the 20s but I have never been able to pull a 60' again that low. This is my first stick car so I'm far from a pro, I think I got lucky.

If you can drive well, you can reasonably hope for low to mid 14s. With those Goodrichs though, ehhh idk I'd say best you'll pull off is mid 14s with a possible low 14.

Darkness is spot on. The LS rims are the heaviest with the least sticky tires. But we'd love to see you run her completely stock. Do it!

This is me being completely honest...

I'm not sure what the track prep and DA is like where you are from, but go into your drag racing with an open mind in an objective attitude. If you crack 13's, great, if you finish with a best of 14.5 @ 98mph (which I honestly think is more likely), don't freak out and want to sell your car.

Use that chance to learn the intricate nature of your car and driving style. Times will always get better with more practice and mods. Most importantly, be safe and have fun.

Exactly I feel like too often people fall into getting too obsessed with 1/4 mile times and let that ruin their car for them. They forget that the V6 Camaro is still a very nice car and better than what a lot of people out there are able to own and afford.

Just install a conservative 75 shot and do it right, then this dilemna will be over. 75 shot puts you at or above SS power levels.

Understandable, I bought the v6 because I do drive everyday year round so I'm not really concerned with the 1/4 mile. I don't think the car is slow or have any complaints. If I do however, SS......... If she lets me.

Nobody has cracked a high 13 out of a V6 stock since it came out?

That's what I was wondering. Don't get me wrong my 2001 MustangGT auto ran 14.30 stock so a 14.20-14.50 on a v6 is impressive to me. Considering my stang was lighter and had more tourqe.
