Jump starting a car with the 5th gen

So I come out to my car yesterday, and the guy parked next to me has a dead battery. He asked me if I could help him jump his beater. I obliged, knowing how to jump a car but never having done it with the Camaro. So I popped the hood, expecting to find the battery, but then remembered it was under the spare in the trunk, and thought there had to be an easier way.

I found the positive terminal under the hood, as it was pretty noticeable, but I had to consult the manual to find where the negative was in the engine compartment. Turns out it is a stub on the drivers side that protrudes out ever so slightly from the lip of the fender.

I haven't seen a thread on this, then again I never really looked, but just made this one FYI.

I had to rescue my mom yesterday in a parking structure downtown Vegas.
I already knew about the positive post and was looking around for a ground connection, just a few seconds later I spotted the little ground stub sticking out from the side, this is the first car I ever owned that had that, I was a bit impressed, my mom was a bt confused as to why her PT Cruiser didnt have that as well.
Another note for jumping other cars- always make it a habit to NOT have your car running when you are jumping another car, I never even have the keys in the ignition when I do it. If there is anything wrong with the car you are helping, there is a chance their trouble code can transfer to your car and through a "check engine" light in your car, dont ask me how I know this.
If their car cannot get started after the initial turn overs, then there is a lot more wrong with it then just a dead batttery.
Luckilly my moms car was just dead from her leaving her lights on

Great advice man! Just outta curiosity, what time did this happen yesterday? It'd be pretty ironic if it were around 1pm.
