2012 ls3 revs on its own in neutral

I think this have been covered before but want to know what causes this. as I am cruising down the street and know that I have to stop I will throw it in neutral and coast to the stop. as I am applying the brakes, right before I stop my engine revs up without touching the gas. really noticeable when cold. is this normal or problem? also while sitting at idle the engine starts to stumble alittle and the rpms bounce around then smooths out but if I sit long enough it will stumble again. car only has 700 miles so not really broken in yet.

My guess is either the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) or the Throttle Position sensor. Do you have an aftermarket CAI? If so, is there air filter oil on the MAF?

It's a stick shift.

Mine was doing that after a bad tune. The tuning for air flow had to be changed.

My 2010 does the same thing and it's stock. I think if you do some searches you'll find the rough idle is pretty normal. If you really think there is an issue take it to the dealer.

Throw is in neutral is an automatic term, take it out of gear is a stick term.

If you say so. lol

By the way, he said LS3 which means it's a stick shift.

It's normal. All of the the LS3s do it. Mine has always bobbed a tad when I throw it in neutral for a stop.

Nothing to worry about. Do a search if you want more info.

Normal condition.

If you really think there is something wrong with your car, bring it to the dealer, I can guaranty they wont find anything wrong. But if the tech decides to look into it a little more he can check for updates for your PCM/ECM, BCM ....etc...
