How is the Z28 Cold Air a waste of Money, Doesn't throw a cel, Creeper RS did hood closed at JBA dyno facility and it did as much as CAI or roto-fab, if not more. Plus its filter is bigger, it seals to the hood (No Hot Air coming in from sides on this one, it looks like it belongs there aka OEM, and it has been tested at the Nuringburgring.

I didn't quote you, I quoted the guy that said it was a waste of money, attention to detail.

Well in a few years, tell her to regurgitate all that Starbucks and fancy dinners to use as money down on the next new toy. Guaranteed she ain't going to have nothing of value.

CAI Looks better IMO
CAI also seals, it has a lid
Oiled vs dry filters have better flow 99% of the time
Doesn't throw a CEL

I guess me saying "waste of money" was a bit extreme haha. I like the look of the metal tube, box, lid, etc of the CAI. I believe oiled filters will out-perform dry filters, and the CAI is good enough quality that while it doesn't necessarily look oem with the accordion/plastic/rubber, it does not look out of place.

Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I have the K&N but I purchased it before searching this forum which has mixed reviews. I've been a motorcycle guy so went straight for the K&N so oh well it's on it now. I just had headers and a tune but baseline with the K&N was 371. I have no clue what it would have been stock but most searches come up around 360. Anyways, now with the headers and tune it pulled 401.

Yeah, no big deal, the differences between them can be slight, especially with supporting mods, people knock the K&N for not being the absolute best, but it still works.

CAI with race scoop is a great way to go . Works as advertised and no tune needed. But with 1 7 /8 long tubes a Bo ported TB and a tune it wakes up the car real nice.
