wait on v6 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

so i have been reading everyones post on how long they got to wait so i went to my dealer were i ordered my v6 and he said i should get it this month but know he said not till next month. I just dont understand there is only 1 person in front of me and that is the owner and its a v8? they say mine didnt even get pulled yet for some reason i just dont understand
can anyone fill me in thanks im a nube hahah

Welcome to the site, if you do a search on constraints you will see the problems with your V6. They are making one for every dealer first. Then you will get yours. I'm sure some senior memebers will jump in and fill in anything else I missed or correct me where I am wrong. Have fun, this site is addicting !

you may be the 2nd in line at your dealer, but I can guarantee you arent 2nd in line for overall production.

like i said why advertise in the show room when people can look at the cars driving down wanting one then ordering. i just don't get it

I am just going to look at it this way. for every month our car is not here means another 600 dollars to put down on it..

That is a good perspective, since we can't do anything about the problem. I just ordered and hope I don't have to wait 5 1/2 months like I did for my '08 Enclave.

Well thats a good perspective for us personally but for GM every month its not on the floor selling is another month of huge losses. This launch has been an epic fail, by the time the cars will be on the dealer lots alot of Camaro guys are gonna be driving Z's Challys and mustangs

I agree it would be nice to have them out and October to March is a pretty long lead time, which seems to be just frustrating many folks. However, I don't think the Z's or Mustangs are an issue since they've been available for some time. The Challengers may be an issue, however they were never as popular as the Camaro and I think lots of folks, like me, are not just buying a car, we are also buying into the whole Camaro nostalgia thing.
