In this case, the person stuck a car in one for 21 years and piled junk to the ceiling ON TOP OF THE CAR. Good luck with the restoration.
I think it had to do with work at the time, where he got a work vehicle, and my mom had her own car so this one just kinda sat there and over time stuff started piling up. But I can guarantee that garage will never look like that again.

I think dad kind of got the inspiration to restore it from looking at your 2010 SS/RS (had exactly the same car and color, just traded in for the ZL1) love this color. I also have 2 81's, take a look at my page and let me know what you think?
A friend of mine lives in your town and has a red 1980 camaro Z28 and a blue Iroc his name is Luis.
You have a beautiful car. Post some pictures of the 81 during restoration.
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out for sure. I seen a blue Iroc last summer I believe driing around, haven't seen it since. for the IOM, I fell in love with this color the minute I saw it in the sun.

All the stripes are definitely going back but in paint this time around. I think that's what he is leaning towards, keeping it silver but time will tell.

Good luck with the restoration.
I cant even count the amount of road hockey games that net has been a part of

It's going to be a fun process to watch the car go from this to a complete restoration. I will post pics and info throughout the whole process for sure.

My '75 TransAm was silver with red interior. It works!
I'd think twice before changing the exterior color. It's perfect as is.
Good luck with it and don't forget to take lots of pictures along the way.

It's probably in better condition used as a storage shelf in a garage than it would have been had it sat under a tarp in the elements for two decades.

When they opened the hood at the shop they found a nice surprise, huge rats nest in there. I guess that's expected after sitting for so long.
