Excellent comment MARKSS. Excellent. Concise! Thank you!

It will be called the ZR1 Camaro with the LS9 and Magnetic Ride Control suspension and will be priced exactly half way between the 2SS Camaro and the CTS-V Cadillac.

How did I do?

This is a new age for GM and a new chapter for the Camaro since it's cancellation back on 2002.

The 5th gen is the best representation of the 69 model in an advanced looking design. It makes sense to have a born again street and track dominator with an advanced and fresh name or moniker. It is after all, an American Revolution by Chevrolet, like their ads used to call.

I could see the true Z28 coming in the next lighter platform with a strong comeback in the muscle arena. I leave it at that.

I don't care if they call it fluffy as long as it's everything that we all hope it will be and more. I just hope I'm able and still on this earth when the time comes to drive one.

Guys, there's no way in hell GM will actually call it the "HP Edition." It's probably just insider code to keep the name under wraps until its official announcement. I'm sure the name will still be the Z/28, but since the car has been the worst kept secret at GM, it's no surprise they're still trying to keep as much under wraps as possible.

Personally, I think "ZL-1" would be a far better name choice. In 1969 that was the best you could get (if you were lucky enough, anyway). Besides, the ZL-1s were known for making around 550-hp on the dyno, so it would be a nice match with the new one.

That may be true but with SLP making a ZL-1 it would be hard for Chevrolet to do the same thing. I think this car should be a Z28 or nothing. JMHO

The dealers on this board have a habit of releasing info before GM does. And being on the boards for some time, I can tell you that dealer info around here tends to be very accurate.

Dealers do want your money, which is why they know it's their business that suffers if they lie about any information.
