Is GM really "NOT" going to do a Z28, that is like having Apple Pie with no apples.

I think you guys need to start hitting Eaton, Magnuson or Roush with emails to do a TVS 2300 version supercharger for you. I understand Eaton produces the internals, Roush builds them and test them, Magnuson is a Eaton distributor. A few Roush guys are getting over 750 hp out of a 4.6 3V Roush P51 short block TVS combo.

Ford chose a different path than Chevy and Dodge and is going with smaller displacement supercharged/turbocharged motors while Chevy and Dodge went the old fashioned way and stayed with normally aspirated big cu in motors. I keep hearing nasty rumors that the GT Mustang may even get rid of the V8 instead of a V6, granted the V6 is twin turbo and is 450 hp, not that far of a stretch when you see the 2010 Taurus SHO twin turbo V6 is 365 hp. In my opinion we should be comparing the top model in each cars line for bragging rights that pits the SRT8, SS, and GT500 since all three are factory built. IMO of course

No offense, but I keep reading nonsense like this. People when makeing comparisons DO NOT CONFUSE HORSEPOWER WITH TRIM LEVELS!! The V6 Camaro is competeing with the V6 Mustang (camaro Wins) the V8 camaro is the equvelant trim level to the Mustang GT NOT the GT-500!! IF the Z28 existed, it would be competeing with the GT-500. It is like comparing a Mustang GT to a Challenger SRT-8, does that make anysense?? NO.

Trim levels:

Ford: Mustang V6, Mustang GT, Mustang GT-500
Dodge: Challenger V6, Challenger R/T, Challenger SRT-8
Chevy: Camaro V6, Camaro SS, Camaro Z-28 (hopefully)

I think Mustang loyalist compare the SS to the GT-500 because deep down inside they know the Mustang GT is somewhat of an embaracement.

Actually GM was smart by putting the SS right in between the GT Mustang and the GT500 hp wise. Lot less GT500's to get out run by, but a lot of GT Mustangs to out run.

When I get my camaro, it will take me about a year to do all the Mods that I want and I garuntee you that it will destroy just about any mustang that dare cross my path, and on any road course

Planned mods:
Magnacharger MP 1900 TVS
LT Headers
Exhaust
CAI
underdrive pully/balancer
Pedders track 2 X-treme suspension
275 40zr 20s on 20x9.5 wheels (front) 315 35zr 20s on 20x11 (back)
Plus I am a pretty damn good Driver

Edit: And 3.73 gears

If your talking about the 2006-2009 GT500, In a straight line maybe, but on the track I think the Camaro will murder the 2006-2009 GT-500 where it takes more than just HP to win. I am fully aware of those GT-500 capabilites they are quick in a straight line but not as good at everything else, personally I favor the 2003-2004 SVT cobras.
