no radio, turn signal "click clack", or door ajar chimes

So here lately my radio cuts off when the volume is up loud. When the radio doesnt work, I get no interior sounds from my turn signal/emergency lights, the "click clack" noise. Also the door ajar chimes/ or the lights being left on when the key is out does not work as well. The lights themselves work and the lights being left on stay on; in short everything works, except for the interior noises. When the radio comes back online, whenever it feels like it, the click clack works as well as the chimes. Does anyone have this problem as well? I doubt it could be a fuse or a bad amp. Any thoughts?

I recently had the same thing happen to me. However mine just went out and stayed out. Tried the radio fuse on the pass side of the trunk and it blows continuously. Had to dig through the forum to find out what it could be. All my research point to a bad faceplate (had the multi-media module built into it). Haven't picked one up yet to confirm, but I am confident that this will be the fix. Hope this helps.

so there is in fact a thread on this? i looked hard to find one. Wasnt sure if my camaro was a phantom or not. Also do you have a stock radio, because I have a 10w-7 sub and aftermarket amps. They arent but a year old so i wasnt sure if that could be the issue. I will try to do some research on what you are suggesting about the faceplate

I am running the stock stereo and speakers, the FARK, 12w3 and an Alpine 5ch amp.

The chimes and click clack sound are produced by the radio, even when it's turned off. If the radio is broke you won't get those sounds. I don't know how to troubleshoot the radio though.

When I upgraded a plain GM radio in a pickup a few years ago I had to buy a chime module that listened to the car's systems and generated the chime and click clack sounds that used to be produced by the stock radio. Something like this...
