New 1SS Convertible
I just got a used 2017 1SS a few weeks ago. I added a new front lip, side skirts, had rear valance painted to match gloss black, I added new ZL1 wheels, black emblems, the front “glow tie”, new tinted rear taillights and this weekend it is getting new Kaitzkin leather installed. And, I had the hood wrapped. Busy couple weeks

Installed GM CAI (this was done by the dealership), and test drove the car so that the system can relearn the New CAI. I plan on driving up to my son's place in Murrieta this weekend to fully break in the car again.

got frustrated and put the car up on jacks to check the rear out. Brought it in for a leaking pinion seal at 6000 miles. Up to 9400 and brought it back because the burning oil smell is obnoxious. Quick check underneath and there was gobs of stuff all over the exhaust so had the dealer go through it again (it's warranty, I'm not shuffling around on my back for warranty work). Said they couldn't find a leak, so up on jacks it went to verify. Took sandpaper to the exhaust to get all the shit off of it, here's to hoping my $40k 6 month old car doesn't smell like a 30 year old $700 Ford anymore. Trip through the mountains scheduled today so should be able to rule out the caked exhaust as culprit.
