Why isn't the white camaro available under the *build your own* on the chevy website?

Any of the other numerous threads on here will give you the info. It is because the color is a late availability due out around July.

Because they are not offering that color just yet. I'm sure when it is available it will be offered on the Build your Own web site.

Someone said the other day they ordered white. i was under the impression you could start ordering it in june and they would actually start painting it on cars in july.

I saw the white on the dealer paint chip poster a week ago, to my surprise. I don't recall it being asterisked with a late-availability remark, likely because of how damn long the ordering process is to begin with.

If you currently have an order you can change to white, but it's not available on new orders yet.

I ordered white last week and recieved my workbench order #NKNMNC Current event #1100 all of which I recieved the same day. 2SS/RS, IO interior, sunroof, polished wheels....I've always liked white cars and with all the black, orange and silvers on the road my car will be special. Just my opinion of course, thats why they come in different colors.

OrderWorkbench is accepting changes to existing orders for Summit White. However, the system is closed to new orders for that color until some later date...probably after the Impala model year changeover during the week of July 6th.

Given the updating to the website, the actual system will probably go live 7-10 days before the "build your own" will allow you the option.

My order is in and I'm waiting for it to be pulled subject to allocation and consensus. Confirmation either this week or next.

Gave dealership non-refundable on Oct.27/08.Was told to expect delivery early spring(march-april).Dealership called mid March and told us order was in for 2ss cyper gray.We had not even talked to dealer!(let alone picked a color)!I went to dealership and got next allocation and reluctantly picked rally yellow because summit white was not available.Dealership called 2 -3 weeks later and said we could get white if we waited(thats right 3rd allocation)Delivery would be mid July-GREAT!!!Summit white w/black hockey!!!Dealership calls today and says our Silver Ice will be in late next week!This whole process is a joke!!Dealer even disaggreed with me on the color,said I ordered silver ice.I'm almost ready to buy a challenger!! I believe you can order one but it won't be made till July. At this point for a new order it won't matter.
