Brand of Gas?

I know that everyone has discussed what type of gas as far as octane rating. But I always wonder if there is truly one BRAND of gas that is better than the other. For example I always see commercials for Shell gasoline which is supposed to reduce crude in the engine. So my question is do these claims have any truth to them?

Stay away from BP...they made my Grand Prix GTP and my Wrangler sputter. I've heard bad things about Kwik Trip also.

I've used exclusively Shell in my Passat (requires premium) for the last 3 years, and I've never had a problem. The two times that my wife has filled the tank for me at an alternative station is where I've had the engine bog down, etc.

I think Shell is great.

dont use Valero...it says they are all american, but unfortuneatly their gas stinks.
I actually could not dyno-tune my car because the premium was that bad...I lost a lot of power with it.

I agree with the Valero as far as the super unleaded I think it's 91 that's probably why it sucked. If you can find 93 for the SS that would be optimal.
