Transformers 3 Filming in Chicago!!!

Hey guys, just got a notification at work that Transformers 3 will be shooting on Lasalle Street in Chicago Saturday, July 10, and Sunday, July 11. How cool would it be if we all showed up in all our Camaros? Hell, maybe they'll need a "stunt double" Bumblebee in which case they'd have many to choose from Here's all the info I received from work.


DW Studios Productions LLC will be filming several scenes for the upcoming motion picture, Transformers 3, on LaSalle Street.

The filming dates are Saturday, July 10 and Sunday, July 11. Street closures will include LaSalle Street from Randolph to Jackson and Washington from Clark to Wells, beginning at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9 and continuing through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12. Below is information that lists the streets that will be permitted for “No Parking” along with the times and dates.

In addition to filming on the street, low altitude helicopter flights will be scheduled over LaSalle Street over the course of the weekend. When the helicopter is in the area there will be “Public Assistants” asking people to stay off of LaSalle Street for a few moments while the helicopter passes. This will create a delay in entering or exiting the 115 S. LaSalle building for up to 5 minutes while the filming is taking place.

The Chicago Police will be assisting with intermittent traffic control on Randolph, Madison, Monroe, Adams and Jackson. Building Security will be notified, instructed to patrol all lobby areas and building entrances and report any issues or suspicious activities to the Police Department.

Streets that will be permitted for "No Parking" from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12 are:

Both sides of LaSalle from Lake to Jackson
Both sides of Randolph from Wells to Clark
Both sides of Washington from Wells to Clark
Both sides of Madison from Wells to Clark
Both sides of Monroe from Wells to Clark
Both sides of Adams from Wells to Clark
Both sides of Jackson from Wells to Clark
West side of Clark from Lake to Congress
Both sides of Franklin from Lake to Randolph
Streets that will be permitted for "No Parking" from 4:00 p.m. on July 9 through 5:00 a.m. on July 12 are:
Both sides of Wells from Randolph to Jackson

LaSalle Street will be closed between Randolph to Jackson from 7:00 p.m. on July 9 through 5:00 a.m. on July 12.

Washington will be closed between Wells and Clark from 7:00 p.m. on July 9 through 5:00 a.m. on July 12.

Interestingly, based on these descriptions, the movie may include the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, the Chicago Board of Trade, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, all major players in the US economy.
