What exactly will the new Camaro be ?

Well I get 2 things in my mind knowing GM,

#1) It will be a serious sports car, great engine, great transmission, great handling and practical hauler too. Basicly a mustang beater in every way

or

#2) It will have a great engine, great power, some blingy wheels, alot of technology such as tvs, navigation systems, power everything and anything. Something that will sell to the deeper pockets that seem to be getting tired of the SUV craze, basicly a decked out SUV in a musclecar body.

With the competition from Mustang and now the V8 challenger I don't think GM will let this car be all fluff... this is gonna haul some serious ass I think

the camaro will blow away the mustang. always has always will. ford only produces a more powerful car when they get help from shelby or rouch or saleen. other than that they cant produce a motor with enough power unless they supercharge it. chevy has always had a more powerful motor and then you throw a supercharger ontop of that, its gonna blow the doors off of that gt500. hands down. at least 500hp at the wheels

i wouldnt doubt that they will do some kind of navigation package on it like they do the vette. its not a bad thing and it doesnt really cut down on the muscle car factor of it just becasue it has navigation or a dvd player in it. its just accessories and it wont be standard. so if you dont want it.......dont order it but it probably will be an option

It better be at or near 500 at the wheels - hate to have to build it or spray it to get there.

Don't count on getting that stock with CAFE going through the roof. Even the coming ZL1 probably will be in the low-mid 400s at the rear wheels. I wouldn't say Escalade, rather the Camaro might get more "pony car" like and lose some weight plus some over all size.
