I'm happy someone can afford a zr1 or else i'd never get to see one in person, and for you to be mad about someone buying a nice car in a crap economy you can't afford (or you wouldn't complain) is a joke. he's looking for insight, not your childish complaint of not being able to have what he can...

Maybe you could afford a ZR1 too if you went to school and got a degree in something that would give you a decent living. You're the only one to blame...and please...

you're not gonna beat a 1250 hp gt-r with a twin turbo vette. all wheel drive will kill you every time if he gets a good launch.

WRONG. He can beat a 1250hp GT-R with a TT Vette. Have you ever seen the amounts of power some of those vettes can put down? Granted the GT-R does have AWD like previously mentioned, so it does have an advantage. However, RWD cars do have the advantage after the launch. It all comes down to horsepower, weight, how well each car hooks, and the driver skill.

Obviously he was having traction issues...so if you can get it to hook...it's going to be a race.

exactly, "if" you can get it to hook up. The AWD is going to consistently push the GTR over the top (have they fixed the whole launch control blowing up the trans yet?). Sure, maybe he'll take 1/10 when the stars align perfectly but is that really considered beating the GTR?
