picked up my 1st 3rd gen

I just bought my youngest son his 1st car a 90 RS Camaro V6 not many options on the car but 80K original miles and body and interior are in really great shape. The paint is terrible and needs redone but the car has never been in an accident and should be an easy scuff and paint as there is almost no body work needed. It needs wheels and tires and the exhaust from the cat back is full of holes and needs replaced, also the cloth portion of the headliner is sagging any help on how to repair that I'd love to hear. I'll post pictures soon (after a full wash and detail) drove it home last night, no issues everything but the tach works it's pegged all the way to the right (again any thoughts on that would be appreciated)

i strongly suggest going over to Thirdgen.Org for answers related to your third gen camaro. They've helped me a TON since i got my '87 Iroc in Jan of 2011.
Heres a link to Tach issues regarding the 90-92 Camaro tachs on thirdgen.org - http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/el...meter-fix.html

as for the sagging headliner: i suggest spray adhesive.

Or just buy a new one. They're cheap enough to simply replace.

The car is also the perfect canvas for a V8 swap. 90 is also the shortest production year due the 91's coming out in January of 90.

Thanks for the info I know this site isn't the best resource for anything other than 5th Gen but thought it was a good start. Thanks for the replies guys I'll check out those other sites.

Nice, gotta love the third gens, my first camaro was an 89 RS with a 305. I still have it, but the only thing the 305 was good for was my sprint car.

Nice! And hardtop too! Now, swing that camera a little bit more to the right. What's that in the driveway???? Do I detect a hint of a 2nd gen?
