Get a ZL1 diff, half shafts and hubs about $4,700 retail from GM. All GM parts ergo warranty unchanged. Maybe a slight dent to the wallet.

Well...the old saying, "gotta pay to play" rang true this morning.
Sure, you can swap gears if you have a 2013. But, your shit outta luck if you have a 2010/11/12. I've only got a year and a half on the drivetrain warranty. Maybe I'll just say screw it and finally tune this b***h. Tune it. Put in gears. Call it a day until I finally break down and buy that supercharger. |

one question, though... if you're still planning on a blower, why are you so intent on lower gears? after you go FI, you're gonna have more than enough torque to make up the acceleration on stock ratios, and with lower gearing, it'll be a bit harder to keep it from breaking loose. not saying it can't or shouldn't be done - just after seeing a bunch of vette & truck guys keep the factory gearing or even go higher, i'd imagine that would be a nice trend to follow. just my 2¢ Quote:
