Suspension help!

I am pretty fluent when it comes to powertrain knowledge, However I am thinking of putting a better suspension on my car and want to know just some general knowledge about it, like what does coil-over kits, toe arms, and etc. What would I need to get for a general cheaper way for a better suspension.

Lots of good info in the suspension section. Post your questions over there.

Be aware, Pedders may be in trouble.

the biggest weaknesses of the standard SS suspension are the heavy wheels/tires, bushings, toe links, trailiang arms, and sway bars.

If you are looking for better handling there is a reasonably priced 1LE SS upgrade from Chevy.

21" wheels are pretty, but have a negative effect on handling and acceleration. 18"ers are the best.

Yeah....I hope Pedders isn't really going to be out of the game. Their cradle inserts are the best ones out there IMO. You can always look into Whiteline as well. The design should be the same but a little softer from my understanding. They're cheaper though.

One of the first things that a vendor should be asking you is what are your plans with the car. Are you just looking for a little stiffer feeling in a daily driver; do you plan to ever Auto-X or Track the car; any drag racing?

Another good vendor on here for suspension stuff is JDP Motorsports. They have a 5th Gen they race and can you just about any of the Mfg parts (assuming they're available). They're very good customer service and are usually one of the cheapest when I shop around.
