Coming Soon for Camaro - Carbon Fiber CAI from Halltech Systems
http://www.halltechsystems.com/Hallt..._p/bb440cf.htm
Here is the business end of our optional 102mm MAF housing. Notice the MAF meter is only 1.25" into the air flow, allowing much cleaner air to the throttle body. Unfortunately this MAF is 16% larger than the stock area, scaled into the MAF tables, which requires that amount to be reprogrammed into the PCM. Our basic carbon fiber unit will have an integrated MAF in the carbon fiber straight tube, which requires no reprogramming. You can see the benefit of the headers in extending torque past 4700 rpm, which is beyond peak anyway. Our $549 Yellow Jacket vs. $2000 package. Which do you think is the best buy? Our dyno vs. bone stock, vs another Camaro with a competitor's CAI, long tube headers, high flow cats, and cat backs. Notice we are within 2 to 3 RWHP and torque of this Camaro (dynoed at the same shop earlier this month) with JUST our Carbon Fiber Yellow Jacket (no optional MAF and no tuning) Carbon Fiber CAI coming soon from Halltech Systems, leading manufacturer of the best induction systems on the market for the Corvette Z06 and C6 LS3. We will be testing our new CAI induction system at LS1Speed on Oct 7th. We have only one prototype at this time that we have spent many hours logging fuel trims and street testing. We are using the exact same filtration found on the LS9 and LS7, only more surface area. The beauty of this type of filter is that is is ultra high flow, and has 99.9% filtration efficiency. This Donaldson PowerCore filter is four time more costly than the K&N, S&B sytle cotton gauze, but filters much better without a loss of power normally seen in paper type flat panel filters. The PowerCore filter is much larger than the typical cone filters seen everywhere, which is giving us some engineering challenges with respect to the cold air shroud. pictures do not show the shroud. The production version of the Halltech Yellow Jacket will be a one piece cross-linked polyethylene unit with the Halltech 102mm MAF housing built in to match the FAST LSXR 102mm Intake Manifold now available from Halltech. Are you planning on putting some sort of box around the filter to keep it from sucking in hot engine air? LOOKS GREAT SO FAR!
