How would the new SS would do against a BMW M3?
I ask this, because today I had to watch a a-hole in a m3 act like he was the king of the road. Revving his engine, blasting out at red lights and everything. He was with his wife, maybe trying to impress her Idk.
Then I was like I wonder how our 2010 SS would to against one? I would have love to shut that idiot down. I think the BMW has about 27 more hp than the SS and little lighter. However its torque is a lot less than the SS Would be a good race to see |

Joke time: What's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW? A BMW has the pricks on the inside.
Anyway, he probably had a hooker in his car. It's the only way a Beemer guy get's laid. Don't even waste your time flexing the muscle of the Camaro. It's not worth it, let him get the ticket, you just need to know that you are sitting in Car and Driver's 2010 car of the year!!! |

Pretty close performance numbers...I'm gonna say....it'll be a drivers race.

As a current bimmer owner I was in the market for a 09 or 10 M3 but then I saw the Camaro and fell in love.Lol. Yeah the M3 is an awesome performance car but the sound and feel of american muscle is just down right insane. Heck for half the price of an M3 with the Camaro you get more standard features, more horsepower and way more torque. You can't go wrong.

Id say the M3 wins if its a DCT, otherwise its a driver's race.
Unless you take it on a road track and then good luck.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

The M3 is pretty damn quick...

Well a 4.6 is about what we think the SS' 0-60 will be, so I say there's a fair chance.
I would also like to point out that we get much better fuel economy and a price point $20k less than the M3 for equal performance. |
