Car is not detecting either cell phone Now
Been having problems with the Camaro detecting lg env3 cell phones. Now the car does not detect mine, or my sons. Both lg env3 new models(Dec09). Not sure what to do now. Any experts out there?
The only move I can think of now is to go to the Verizon Wireless dealer and see if they can pair the phones to something else. When you ask the Camaro to list the paired cell phones, it says both of our phones. But it can not detect either one to make calls.

The chance of all three phones breaking at once is pretty minimal, it's the car, either a setting or a fault, I'd see the dealer.

With my samsung sch i760 I have to manually tell the radio to see it.
I click on config, telephone, show devices, and then "my name" then it works that way. Have you tried that? Automatic bluetooth pairing is not available on my samsung phone. I had to figure this out on my own. |

When you do this config deal- is that everytime when you restart the car? If it gets it to work, fine. I'm just bummed because my cell phone stayed paired and worked well for months. I'll get to the bottom of it. Eventually.

Hmmm. I'm sure this didn't help- the Bluetooth feature on the cell phone was turned off somehow. Did this happen when doing a phone software update? I know that I would have never turned it off. I did the software update as part of past issues with phone hanging up right after dialing. I re-paired the cell phone fine after software update. Bluetooth would of had to be on to do that. Maybe somehow I am turning off bluetooth without knowing it. Can't wait to see if it works tomorrow.

Somehow both cell phones had bluetooth turned off. Turning back on fixed this issue. Just not sure how they were turned off.
So it appears that both issues I had (Hanging up after dialing-- and phones not being detected) were both issues with the cell phone itself, and not the Camaro. Now I'll have to see if the phones are going to continue to turn off bluetooth, or figure out if I'm doing it by accident.
