C5 Fest grudge races
Okay Ruby is not a happy camper. It seems some people just cannot manage to keep thair posts civil & get threads shut down that some of us are enjoying discussing V8 and V6 Camaros. So I have proposed putting our Camaros where our mouths are. No more talk we will just do it. There is a grudge race thread under the Camaro5 Fest section Since I don't know specificly who has posted the nasty comments that got deleted & the threads shut down I challenged V8's with no mods of no more mods than my V6 to grudge races at C5 fest. And it is not about winning or getting even or anything like that. It is fun!!!!! Since we cannot have fun talking about it let's just Do It! Anyone else want to join me? If so go here to issue your challenge:

I'll race some 8's if I have time. I don't mind losing to them. If they start puffing out their chests about beating a girl in a V6 I'll get a good giggle. LOL.

Be careful ladies, some men have a very delicate grasp on their own masculinity. Any perceived challenge whatsoever results in unexplainable anger and hostility.

Apparently, ........Well just asumeing it was male ego responses that got our threads shut down.........X2. Maybe not though, could be that some female SS owner made ugly comments but someow I doubt it. If some guy gets his ego bruised by me racing him............Oh well. If they can't handle winning or losing in a race, then they have no business racing. Remember guys on any given day any team can beat any other team and things can happen in races..........just sayin'. Besides it is all about FUN.

I will repost my comment here too.
I will race anyone at any track at any given time. If I get beat they probably used more fuel than me doing so. Then I can ask them if they can get over 30 MPG on the highway cruising at 70 mph. Actually I have seen as high as 33 +. I plan to check again this Saturday on my 60 mile cruise down to Rodgers Chevrolet to see Becky and the Camaro show. I expect to see at least 33 mpg or more. Back to racing. I have raced a few other V8 folks in my Detroit Gen 5 club at Lapeer Dragway. I have beaten a couple of the V8's because they were new or struggled at the line. I have also been beaten severely by some as they should, when you start to compare HP numbers. Bottom line for me, I do it for the fun, not to say I am better than someone else. Because you know what folks, SOMEONE is ALWAYS GOING to be FASTER than You. Enjoy.

It really is to bad that alot of the v8 owners lose site of having a good time. Back when I had my 67 Camaro 13 second 1/4 mile was a good thing. Something a modded v6 can do. I think it is time for some to understand how far the 6 has really come.
I am so glad I didnt buy a v8, I would of never seen this side of an ugly owner. Really sad... anyway take pictures and videos if you can. |

I won my first 1/4 mile race against a V8 at C5 Fest 1 in Georgia. Then again in Montreal against another V8....Also I was over taken all the other times...
It's all in good fun...
