Yea that is a pretty cool shifter. Where did you get it from? And is it easy to install?

Get the stick man, the way i learned was a 10min ride with my friend in his civic. all i did was watch him, then when i saw the cobalt ss and the salesman wanted me to take it for a drive i told him that ive never driven stick before, he simply tossed me the keys and said "you have to learn somehow" lol long story short i drove it off the lot and i couldn't be any happier. i dont know about the others but i took me a good two months to not even think about how to drive (ss cobalt clutch was a little touchy)
with that being said i love manuals and i made sure i got the camaro in manual and its a blast! the only way i would buy a auto is if i had a family van or a physical condition that prevented me from driving a manual.

You'll hear many, MANY, excuses from auto owners as to why auto is better (they're so disillusioned that it's cute). And you'll hear from a few auto owners who wish they had a manual, but I've never once heard of a manual owner who wishes they had an auto...

From what I understand, dealerships don't let you sign the paperwork for an automatic Camaro unless you first admit to your parents that you're a homosexual. I'm truly glad that this admittance came so easily to you

Seriously, it's a freaking transmission. Same car, same power. BUT automatic is more efficient and quicker...

No actual I went in, filled out some paper work and the dealer noticed I wrote down that I had an average sized penis and asked me why do I need to get a manual. Found out that I was fortunate and didn't need it and got the auto.

I'm glad you're comfortable with the fact that manual owners have above-average sized packages, most "average" L99 owners have a tough time swallowing that. Pun intended

It's all what you're into. How much do you want to (or need to) feel you're part of the car? Find a way to try the manual, maybe you'll like it!

Well, the only bad thing about having a manual is when I have a lady in the car I can't say: How bout we turn this automatic into a stick

I've owned an auto for the past year and have never had interest in the manual. Some people like rowing through gears, I'm personally indferrent. Op, I would take it for a test drive and see how you like it. There will be a learning curve but you might just like it.
