I do not think it is meant to be cross shopped with the 2010 Camaro. The are completely different cars IMHO
I kind of like the looks of it. But the $$ is going to keep it out of reach for the market I think they are striving for. Maybe in a few more years, when the economy really turns. IF fuel costs go down or level out. But for a 2010? Nope.

Let's be fair and post a picture of this "sedan" The G8 is much better looking and more powerful. But neither compare to the Camaro....sorry.

Two totally different cars...honestly I don't see them selling well at all.... the slogan is a joke... "performance of a V8, thirst of a V6".... from what I can tell its not getting v6 MPG at all... talk about marketing.

SHO - 17 MPG city/25 MPG hwy
V6 Camaro - 17 MPG city/29 MPG hwy
v8 Camaro - 16 MPG city/24 MPG hwy

Really? i agree not comparable with the SS, but the SHO will stomp a V6 Camaro in acceleration. You are right, the main competition for the SHO is the Audi A6. The SHO comes standard with features the Camaro will never have. The interior in the SHO is high quality and very good looking. It's a great car for what it is supposed to be, a budget audi, but it is not a competitor for a pony car.

I was just trying to keep them close...the SHO numbers I saw were low 14s @ ~100mph... I believe that is closer to the V6 numbers than the V8? Maybe I had bad info there.

Car and driver tested it at 13.7@103 i believe. I got to thinking and this is perfect. G8 is like the BMW, Charger is like the Benz and the SHO is like the Audi. We have our own budget German flair Comparo here. Too bad GM is killing the G8, they should really rebadge it as a Chevy and keep it.

Have to remember the SHO is being taunted as a performance luxury car. Its not really meant to compete with a camaro. The new eco6 twin turbo engine is very nice. They took that same engine, toss it in a flex, and ran a 14.1 in the 1/4. Not bad considering the Flex has the areo of a flying box...

Also, the MKS is in the 13's @ 111mph.

Evolution Performance is ready to go with a tune to turn up the boost for the SHO.

Why? Do you have any idea how insanely easy it is to tweak and get power from a factory FI setup?

No thanks, I already own a '02 Ford Explorer, and it has been a piece of crap from day one. I spoke to a Ford zone manager a couple of months ago because my truck only has 63,000 miles on it and I have had to replace transmission, rear-end seals, rear differential, front and rear wheel bearings, fuel pump, window regulator, etc....... The truck has never been hit, well maintained and garage kept. I told the zone manager that Ford needs to pick-up the tab on the rear differential since they have a known problem with them and the cost to fix was $2k. He said all of my defects in my truck are known Ford truck problems and tough luck. I will NEVER buy another crappy Ford EVER!!!!!!!!! I have had superb luck with my GM cars and 8.1L motorhome.

The zone manager touted how Ford didn't need a government bailout, and I told him its because Ford builds to the lowest engineering standard possible and then when the part fails, the customer has to keep paying to have it fixed. Don't buy a Ford EVER!
