Has anyone seen an alternative to the Tank Plates?

The down side to the 3 inch harness is you can't just push it back through the seat holes because the holes are to small for the adjusters, so I just put them on the side of the seat when not in use like so.
Lee, this is so sick

Nope, can't pull them back through. Maybe with a 2 inch harness.

I sent a few emails today to Speedware and they sent me back a quote for everything I need...$1899. I don't see why the Tank Plates cost so much, I've tried looking elsewhere but can't find it anywhere. I'm fine paying the price for the harness bar and harnesses but the damn Tank Plates are killing me. It's over $700 for the pair! Does anybody know of somebody selling some used ones?

I know! It has to be way less than $700, it's just a piece of metal.

Sorry, I'm not taking those things out. You might be better off going to a machine or fabricating shop with your car and tell them what you're looking for and see if the can fab something up.
