Suspension guys out there - lets talk wheel hop

My track experience was definately dampened by LOTs of wheelhop all through 1st and 2nd gear. This was with stock tires at stock pressure. Lets talk about practical ways to remove wheel hop. (NOTE: on the street, the tires are free to spin and there really isn't any hop).

Thanks,
Crowley

the BMR bars should help a lot with weight transfer (to the rear)...I'm pretty sure someone posted there w/boost and had good results. Those and some drag-radials should make it launch much better.

i noticed this also, my cousin has a cts-v and he replaced the bushings on the diff carrier/suspension mount with poly bushings and said that it was almost gone. then replaced one axle shaft with a larger one (cannot remember which side) and it is gone completely now. since it uses the same susp that would probably solve our problems too

The trailing arms from BMR will help certainly http://www.ipsmotorsports.net/produc...oducts_id=3655, and then bushings, Subframe bushings from pfadt which will release soon, and control arm bushings will yield much less hop, and transmit more power through the rear end.

Regards

Our trailing arms will take care most the wheel hop the car is having. There is many guys out there using them with tons of success. We will also have our new line of bushings out in the next few weeks which will also help. First things first get a set of our trailing arms and go from there.

I just ordered my BMR trailing arms from IPS and my car should be done by in the next few days. I will install the trailing arms and share the results. I'm confident that they will do their job!

Pfadt Race Engineering Control Arms

We're working on a Rear Trailing Arm as well as a Rear Tie Rod. They are currently in development and if you're at SEMA you can see them in person! These are the real deal and they weigh less than 50% of the factory unit as well as being over 2x stronger!!!

Rear Carbon Trailing Arm

Rear Carbon Tie Rod

I would highly recommend our Engine Mounts, Trans Mount, sub frame mounts and Differential Bushings as this is where most of your movement is coming from. We've found that the tires load and unload which causes the powertrain to load and unload; the soft mounts just weren't designed to handle this variable. Once this happens the relatively soft spring rate and damping can't control the movement. We've worked with a lot of the fastest C5/C6 Corvettes and this has proven to be a winning combination on those platforms.

We're continually developing new products and they will be worth the wait! Please feel free to call or email us anytime to locate a dealer in your area or with tech/set up questions. Have a great day!

Kind regards,
