Truth or BS?

I was recently informed that the aluminum air stem valve caps on the ZL1 tires are bad for disrupting the sensors. Is this really something that should be replaced or is this BS?

There haven't been any posts about the sensors not transmitting a good signal. If the car came with them I don't see why it would be a problem. The sensor is inside the tire and transmits through it to the cars ECM so why should valve stem caps cause a problem.

Any TPMS valve stem that comes with a aluminum cap should not be changed to a different type. This is according to Tire Rack.

Smells like BS. The car wouldn't have come from the factory with incompatible components.

Thanks all. I've never heard of this before but wanted some feedback.
