remote start with seat heaters on?

There is an option in the radio for when you use the remote start to have the seat heaters come on also. Has anyone else run into any issues with this, as this specific feature doesn't seem to work for me. After i remote start, the seats dont seem to be getting any warmer and the indicator for the heated seats is not lit up.

It doesn't actually get "hot" so to speak by remote. Though it should
definitely be noticeably warm if it's been running for 5 minutes or more.
The indicator doesn't come on in my car when remote started. As soon
as I turn the key on the heated seat shuts off and has to manually turned
back on.

This has come up before. If you read the owners manual carefully, you will notice that there is wording in there that indicates that this feature will only activate as needed under certain conditions. Basically, the outside ambient temp needs to be near freezing (My threshhold seems to be around 37 degrees) before the seat heaters will come on with the auto-start, even when you have this feature set to ON.

When I remote start my 08 Surburban, the heated seats automatically come on as part of that process. They turn off when you put the key in the ignition. That is normal. If you want the heated seats back on, you turn them on manually as mentioned above. If you live in the great white north, this is a good thing. If you live in Florida, not such a good thing. I am sure there is a way to program what you want on when you remote start.

During the summer I noticed the AC would come on during remote start if the inside of the car temp was high, conversely the heat and/or defrost would activate in cold temps. The car is pretty much guessing what you need, but its better than nothing. Is there actually some user control here? I put mine away for the winter but brought her out Christmas Day just to wake up to that badass stare until the snow came...then back to bed
