Hurst Short Throw Shifter

Does anyone out there know what the current scoop is on the factory/ and or dealer installed Hurst short throw shifter? My local dealership can't seem to get an answer for me. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's finished yet. I could be wrong. I've had my hands on the Hurst and it's definately worth the $$$. GM was wanting a redesign from Hurst which is taking time getting it aproved. They should be available shortly with the GM/Hurst name on them. Or you can get one straight from the sorce without the wait. Very strong, quick install (30 minutes), not real expensive either.

It sounds like we can order the Hurst shift, dealer install. Does anyone know the option cost? Is this going to be factory install or dealer install?

let's stick to the fact this is a hurst thread & not an MTI thread shall we. All the major dealers/distributors in the country have the hurst aftermarket shifter when you're ready

WOW.. THIS is CAMARO5 not Hurst5..and this is not in the vendor section so I believe MTI is free to post what they want. Beside maybe he doesnt know there are other shifters out there other then Hurst.

just saying..
The title specifically said Hurst Shifter, not Barton, MTI, MGW or Bubba Gump. A non-vendor member can post a plug for a different product but come on, it is kinda cheap for a vendor to post their own plug in a thread about a SPECIFIC product of a specific vendor. I am just saying...
but dude, thanks for the plug on the Barton shifter ball. Got your pm. Thanks man.

Agreed..to a point, but Hurst did not start this thread it was a guy looking for info on a shifter (yes hurst) that was not available yet so why not through MTI out there?
