"In Transit"

I've been talking to both my dealership and GM customer service about the status of my Camaro for about 2 months now. As of last friday, I was told by my dealership that the car was shipped 12 days ago, and is currently in transit to the dealership. GM customer service has corroborated this, but without a date of shipment or anything usefull. Basically, how long does it take for the car to get from Canada to the dealership (here in Virginia)? It's been over two weeks and the salesman I've been working with has no idea where the car is and has no new info on when it will arrive.

The dealer can contact the Dealer Business Center (DBC), and they should be able to at least determine exactly where the car currently is...as far as how long it will take to get to the dealership, there is no real way to know. The invoice should have an E/T date (expected delivery), but it isn't always accurate with the Camaro.

I've already had the dealership check the DBC and the only info they can get from there is "In Transit". As far as the invoice goes, it showed up almost a month ago, meanwhile two other Camaros that were produced after mine were delivered, sold, and are on the road.

My delivery date was 6/21, go figure since it was a Sunday. Anyway, I was able to track it today and its at its final destination as of today and waiting for a truck only about an hour away. Mine was shipped from Canada on 6/10 and landed at Twin Oaks, PA at 1:15PM today. Maybe you can use this as a guide?

That's been my experience as well, DBC can't give my dealer anything and he's been working hard on trying to locate it.
Granted, it only shipped 10 days ago....but everyone at the dealership said it should have been here already.

I find the DBC folks very accomodating and helpful

Mine rolled off of the line on 6/9. Finally hoped a ride on a rail cart on 6/16 and still isn't expected to arrive in Salt Lake City til 6/27, which is a Saturday so I'm not expecting to take delivery until 6/29 at the soonest. Twenty days. I could have drove to the plant and back eight times by now! But yeah, your dealer should be able to call the DBC and get your rail car number and the rail company. Then you can call the automated system to track it.
