Windy, i just consulted a fortune teller for you.. No Kitchen in your future.. you are gonna need the extra $$$ for tires.. Lots 'n Lots of Tires! You better get some wide ones for the back... You're going to need them! What are you doing for a torque converter? it's all you have left for a major upgrade to the whole drivetrain. Will the one from my TH400 fit? it's a 5500 stall.. almost brand new. Used by a little old lady on Sundays. J/K LOL. Speed, Windy is not playing fair. He went in deep.. If we do have a meet somewhere I'm gonna sit on the sidelines and watch.. Windy already left us in the dust and we havn't even met yet.. |

I discussed torque converter early on, with RPM Transmissions. I don't think I need or want to mess with it. Ultimately it will be a drivers car, not a track beast. I discussed it a little with Kevin at Lingenfelter again today but again I don't see any apparent reason to change. If I have issues later I can always swap it out myself. Torque converters are a kind of science in there own right. I can't say I have enough experience to believe I need to change it.
This tranmission has proved itself in 1000 HP twin turbo vettes already, I think it will be ok in my lil Camaro! I was concerned about the half shafts, problem fixed! Now a cheap set of track rear wheel and some real sticky slicks, SHAZAM, Go Fast, Low ET's!

glad I found this post
I didn't realize there were so many of you LPE SC junkies out there. Mine's been there since the end of July getting the 650 setup. The axles and the dual clutch had been the parts that have been slowing things a bit. I can't wait to get it back and hopefully I won't think of anything else to go with before they are done...

So much good stuff - I can hardly handle it. All these 650 packages and upgrade parts - it makes me want more and I love my car now!! I can't imagine more but it is inevitable as you guys post up your results and impressions of your car's I suppose.
Welcome Bonecrshr - good to see another LPE car coming |
