Allocation priority set by dealer?

How is it possible for a #3 allocation order be pulled ahead of a #2 allocation order? My order was the #2 allocation and was placed at least 5 weeks ahead of the next customer with the #3 allocation... but their order was picked up 2 weeks prior to mine. Both orders were nearly identical... only difference was that other order had ground effects and was yellow (my order black). Sales mgr claims not to know why. I thought that dealers assigned priorities to their allocations in the monthly outlook. Any ideas as to how this can happen?

It seams as if its bad luck or the dearlship submitted the orders and they got mixed up in priority at the plant. Im sure they did not intentionally do this

Allocation priority is DEFINITELY set by the dealer. If you have any issues, ask your dealer to show you his allocation order list. You'll see the priority number for each car. My dealer actually showed me the whole Workbench process and I told him to set Duanne Casselman's car (Camaro5 member) to 30 (out of an allocation of 6).

dealer can change the priority up until 3000 I think, but definitely not past 3300. If you got bumped its because somebodys friends came in or somebody paid more for it. But thats not to say it cant get messed up at the plant or sequence them different.

You have the right idea, but the wrong terminology. If you have the Hurst shifter on your order and you are priority number 1 at your dealership, your order will be skipped over until such time as the part is available. Then you become the next car to be built.

I had five SS's ahead of me on the allocation list but my LT order went to 3000 before theirs. It's probably a combination of factors.

Yes but that has nothing to do with prioritization of allocation.
