trooper182,

Sincere apologies about the steering wheel squeak and I understand any frustration this causes. While I notice that you're seeking thoughts and opinions, you're welcome to send us a message for assistance with setting up an appointment for an official GM diagnosis. At that point, I'll reach out to the dealer's customer care specialist who is the point of contact for resolving customer/vehicle issues at the dealer level.

Regards,

William R.

I had the same thing happen to me when the car was 1 year old. They simply sprayed the boot where the steering column goes though (in the engine bay). Sometimes when they change the oil it gets on the boot and drys it out.

Take it back to the dealer and explain the problem to them. They will replace your rack n pinion given the fact that you still have warranty on the car. The same happened to me and many others on the forum. Good luck.
