You are correct SSE 4 2SS, LSX motors are the iron blocks, ERL Superdeck's are the Aluminum block, iron sleeved motors - typo on my part! We wanted to save weight and keep the dependability, so that's the reasoning behind the ERL choice...as far as the blower, I am leaning towards the Vortech YSI or V24 XB015 blower over the Whipple 4.5L only because of my hood. I currently have the Whipple 2.9L which is a beast in itself, I can only imagine what the 4.5L is like! 1000rwhp has always been my goal for my street car...thanks!

Chris, why the blower instead of turbo or turbos? I know the YSI is an easy fit but the other 2 require some serious fabrication.

As a Ysi owner, it is a decent blower but mine lasted 7k miles until it died. It did make over 1000rwhp when pushed but I think they are happier at 850-900rwhp.
Turbos will do it all day, no belt issues, no slip, and give a much better power band. More low end, more torque, more power, more adjustability.
