DIY lowering springs install??

Anybody want to write a DIY for installing lowering springs? I just received my Eibach springs and want to do it (install the springs) in the winter. I know there are some threads about it but no complete DIY yet as far as i know.

When i search some general sites most of the time they are talking about ball joints, but i never saw something about that in this forum. Can somebody explain?

I am working on this with my Pfadt springs. I should have a complete and detailed writeup with pics before the weekend is over.
