I've been surprised by those. Mine looked fine with 38K on it when I opened it up...but now it looks even better in the trash can with an LS2 damper in the engine. They seem to be hit or miss on the LS3's. Some people have no problem with them, some have them fail fast with everything stock.

Just got off of the phone with them. Car is almost ready to fire. I'll have numbers by tonight or tomorrow. Picking up the car sat so I wont have drive impressions, vid or dyno sheet until at least then.

For those wanting to know.

- Pushrods= 7.500

- No flycutting was required. They do offer better clearance. This cam would not have cleared on stock heads with slight milling and a .040 cometic.

- Pre-load was one half turn. He didnt give any other info. I can try for a different term if this isnt sufficient.

No flycutting? That's a win for TSP's heads.

YEP...no flycutting.

They advertise an extra ~.040 of intake valve clearance like I have said. I just wasnt going to take their word for it. No one has tried a combo such as mine with them yet...

This goes without saying, but definitely be sure to keep us up to date. I'm very interested in running a similar setup. I was originally going to go with the G6X3, but I didn't like the idea of flycutting. So I then decided the 231/236 was the way to go. However, your results may very well change my plans.

In a related note, do you know if their new "highest flowing" castings offer the same clearance?

I am not positive...but I think they are of a similar design except the intake runner is in the 26x cc range similar to stock as to where these are 250cc.

Other than that the valve config/clearance should be the same. But dont quote me on that.

BTW...I just noticed your profile pic in relation to your name...thats great. Anchorman was the shit. Ome of the funniest movies ever made IMO.
Are they coming out with another one? I thought I heard they might be a little while ago.

The revised valve angle/deck height is what gives you the added clearance. So if they are the same valve angle, etc then yes. The port volume shouldn't have anything to do with valve clearance.

Base tune is in the car and it has been fired up Troy. Sounds pretty mean that's for sure. Expect it on the dyno tomorrow.

Sorry running around in the shop today and just checking emails now.

Yes, we used the Katech and a shorter belt. K060798 is the belt we used on your setup.
