ZL1 will have option of 3.73 gears so unless the ss has upgraded its rear end ZL1 will win.

Good luck trying to find a un-modified ZL1.

550 SC > 550 NA
peak numbers are one thing, area under the curve is another. Superchargers make more torque, which means more power throughout the rpm range.

The "average torque" of the ZL1 will be higher and max torque will be sooner. So i have to give this one to the Z

It would probably be close but think about it, if you have the means to buy a ZL1 then a good number of owners will do the same as many SS owners and add an additional 100-150 HP when they get bored with the stock power. After that it would be like comparing a Camaro to a Corvair.

I don't know if I agree with all this. I played with a zl1 a little, and my ss with basic bolt on's, tune and aftermarket rims & tires from a dig he couldn't pass me. Grant it, the guy couldn't drive for shit so maybe that has something to do with it!

on the strip with the less intrusive nanny system of the SS, I pick the 550hp SS to beat the ZL1 all day.

No way a Supercharged ZL1 should have trouble passing a bolt-on SS, unless like you said, the driver sucks. |

Problem solved, I have a friend who had a H/C SS with 4:10s vs his new ZL-1, he states his past SS was an animal too aggressive for the streets, the ZL-1 is more docile and not as aggressive , simply put the ZL-1 would have it's ass handed to it hands down. I drove in his car and not even the Z06 wasn't that mean.
