The problem is - take a good look at the front and rear of the 1LE to see where the tow truck will have to hookup the tow line. See all the damage the tow truck cable is going to cause to the front fascia and rear diffuser if you don't have a tow hook on the front or rear of your car? Personally, I don't want a simple towing job to end up causing an insurance claim for body part replacements and/or paint repairs.

I can afford a tow and a hotel...

I am trying to see what those side badges are.
It's a Z/28 that's been modified, photoshopped.

It's not whether you can afford the tow or hotel, it's getting stuck on the road, first having to wait for a tow truck and then hoping you can find the correct tire size to get it replaced...I don't know how many of you have taken road trips covering distance, but you break down in the middle of no where AZ, TX, NM, etc...you might be waiting for a long time versus having a spare ready to roll...on road trips, always carry a front RS wheel with a tire of the right outside diameter....and the tires we run are not always readily available depending on where you break it might be a day or two to get one...good luck to all you Onstar only folks....

Good thread,

So the consensus is a 20x9 SS wheel will be suffice in the front or rear?

Called my selling dealer and talked to my salesman, talk about knowing nothing about the car. Ended up getting transferred to service where I left my name and number and they were gonna look into it. Received a call back saying they were gonna order me the inflator kit and take the spare back.
