Timing the bushings should not create a metal to metal noise. Can you snap and post spring pictures? Just snap the best you can with the car sitting on the ground.

Not the best pics since I didn't have a lot of room to work with. I pretty sure I assembled them correctly. Both washers are on there with the worn sides facing the mount. Isolator is on there. Pre loaded hand tight then 10mm.

Looks right. What speed can you hear the noise?

It's most noticeable at speeds below 15. Although I can hear it a little at faster speeds.

I had almost exactly the same problem... Mine turned out to be the coil insulators not installed....

But you've got that one sorted... how about the rear swaybar D bush straps... if those aren't tight you could get the same noise.
Did your's come with the taller bushes?

Good idea to double check the strap bolts.

If you can find a safe spot in a parking lot do you have a trunk monkey available?

You are making me rethink which bushings I put in. I was sent both types for the rear(long story). The ones I put in fit pretty good. Here are the ones not installed. They are thicker up top compared to the ones on the car. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375152071.618016.jpg

You have a ten so the smaller bush is the correct fit.

The exhaust looks to be clear of everything. I may just wind up ripping out the whole rear and reinstall. If that doesn't work time for the pro's at ADM to look at it.

LOL....that's assuming he didn't change out the straps for some reason like I did. I found out the hard way that FE4 straps are 1/8" smaller than FE3 straps. So, Pedders has two different bushings for the ZL1 bar depending if you have FE3 or FE4 straps.

Ace....are the rear sway bar straps you have the OEM ones that came with your car?

I'll say that I never heard any noise when I had installed the wrong bushings. The say bar just was moving inside the straps when it shouldn't have.

Would it be possible at all to maybe try to get some video of it?

Has to be the strap and the wrong bush. Take a pic of the strap around the bar from a side. The FE4 straps are actually taller than FE3, I had both.

Correct, I had it backwards. In my case I told Pete I had FE3 (which I thought I had) but in reality I had replaced my original straps and they ended up being FE4. Because of that my sway bar ended up moving inside the staps fairly easy. After working with Pete we determined there was an 1/8" difference and that I had the FE4 straps. Pete took care of me and now I'm all fixed up now.

Like I was saying though, I never heard any noise and I probably had the wrong bushings for 2 - 3 months.

I'm not saying that's not the issue and Ace should double check just to rule it out but I'm just thinking that's not the cause of a metal clunking sound.

Fe3 straps with the "tall" bush. They fit like OEM. I'll try to grab a video but it will be hard by myself.

Forgive the sub in the frame. I was working on a wiring issue today that has nothing to do with the sound of the suspension.
