Shooting in close proximity to rocks and a rocky back stop. Be careful. I would find a more suitable area for practice.

Yep, pictures can be deceiving as far as distance is concerned.

Ill give you the rocks and we did move the grapefruits forward into the sand more as we started shooting, even though we were shooting shorts. The backstop is about 100 yds back and is sandstone and shale. Was along time ago, I think there is a house there now.

Found out that shooting .22 shorts at bowling pins was a no go at any distance, not enough vilosity to penetrate the pin and...... well the bullet has to go somewhere

.22LR penetrate bowling pins fine though

My daughter (10) is in the junior BB gun class at our gun club. She also like my son's 22. My son (14) is in the junior rifle club shooting 22. My wife will shoot sometimes but enjoys it.

For fathers day I told them I wanted us to go shooting as a family. We had the entire range alone which was awesome. My wife shot my Ruger single six, my Smith 622, my Smith M&P 9mm and my M&P 45. She's a damn good shot for not having shot in 15 years! She likes the Single Six best and my sons Ruger American Rimfire 22.

I'm trying to get her to get a pistol permit so she can legally shoot (private club is one of those OK gray areas in NY). I'd like to get her the M&P 22 pistol (another reason to buy a gun!).

Anyway, we had a blast for a few hours and it was probably the best fathers day I have had.

I'm headed to the 2 handed league tonight and my son will go and watch.
