I am picking up my 12 on saturday, and it's at MSRP. Salesman initially tried getting over sticker for it of course, but so have all the other dealers I have talked to.
This was the only dealer to go to sticker out of the 11 I have talked to.

Why would someone ask over sticker for a 12,with so many 13's around already.A 12 should be at invoice, its a year old car already.

Don't get me to lying. I don't know why anyone would pay over sticker at all.

It's a model year old. The car is anywhere from 2-4 months old.

Used car values are based on model year, not months..

It's not a used car either though.

Yes but this is a new car with no owner that the dealership has had for 2-4 months. Expecting invoice on a car that young is a little much.

My dealer sold his 12 for the exact same price he sold me my 13

MSRP is the money on new ZL1s.....my dealer in western PA just delivered a '12 to a buyer in Roanoake, VA at MSRP....buyers who screw around for a few hundred under MSRP will likely not be buyers.....IMO anyway....

I bought mine in June at MSRP before it was off the convoy; two other buyers snoozed and lost.....

It's all about supply and demand. GM sets the MSRP and dealers can ask whatever they want with no penalties what so ever. Same thing happened when the 5th Gen's first came out back in 2009.

My dealer who is a personal friend must be lying to me then? How do you know there is no penalty?

My dealer told me GM conducts periodic audits on their new car sales and cars sold above MSRP subject the seller to a GM-imposed penalty.....

Thats just stupid! Thats why its Manufactuers SUGGESTED Retail Price. GM's not going to do anything about it.
